Vintage 1985 Casio SK-1 32-Key Sampling Keyboard w/ Original Box & Manuel (USED)

Our Notes: Excellent condition. The box shows various signs of wear and has been re-taped a few times as one would expect from vintage packaging. The keyboard presents minimal wear, especially considering it's age. The keys have some light scratches and the back of the keyboard shows some marks as well. The battery cover is missing. We have tested all of the keys and buttons; everything is 100% functional! Such a fun little keyboard!

Own a piece of electronic music history with this vintage 1985 Casio SK-1, complete with its original box and manual. One of the most iconic entry-level sampling keyboards ever made, the SK-1 helped bring sampling technology into homes and bedroom studios around the world — and later became a favorite among lo-fi and experimental musicians for its distinctively gritty sound. This compact keyboard features 32 mini piano keys and four-note polyphony, along with 8-bit PCM sampling at a 9.38kHz sample rate for samples up to 1.4 seconds long. A built-in microphone plus line-level and mic inputs make it easy to capture and play back your own sounds, while the onboard speaker and line-out let you perform or record straight from the unit. Beyond sampling, the SK-1 also includes a handful of four-note polyphonic preset voices — both analog and digital — as well as a simple additive synthesis voice for even more sonic variety.
