Our Notes: This is an antique, 4/4, German-made copy of a Paolo Maggini violin. It features a fine spruce top, unique burl-maple back and sides and the distinctive double-inlaid purfling. Comes w/ case, NO bow.
Violins built in the style of Giovanni Paolo Maggini are popular among bluegrass & old-time fiddlers due to their slightly larger, deeper body. This tends to produce a lot of volume & a darker sound.
Fantastic maple burl-maple back & sides w/ fine spruce top. Beautiful double purfling, cut edges & scroll.
