1975 Fender Stratocaster Modded SSH, Black (USED)

Our Notes: This guitar comes to us from a customer whose husband passed away recently and we are selling some of his instruments on her and her family’s behalf. Serial number 664909. The neck is stamped 09035153 which indicates that this guitar was assembled on a Wednesday in the 51st week of 1975 - Christmas Eve. Black body, maple neck, multi-layer pick guard white-black-white, bullet truss rod nut. The original tuners were removed and replaced. New screw holes were drilled to accommodate the new tuners and the old screw holes are still present on the back of the headstock. The neck pick-up is original. The middle and bridge pick-ups have been replaced with Seymour Duncans. The original single-coil bridge pick-up was replaced with a hum bucker and the body was routed out to accommodate the larger size. The pick-guard is either a replacement or was also routed out to fit the larger bridge pick-up. The knobs have been replaced with black cylindrical knobs. The tremolo arm is missing. Judging by the wear on the finish, this guitar was played frequently. There is significant finish wear on the back of the larger horn where the guitar rested on the players chest/torso, primer and raw wood are visible. Smaller but similar wear is present on the bottom horn and lower bout. It's no wonder this guitar was played so much because it is a joy to play. The neck and the action feel incredibly comfortable - playing this guitar feels like slipping on a well-worn pair of shoes. Overall, the guitar is in Good condition. We have performed a complete set-up. Case included. This guitar is ready to go!
