About:
Paul has been playing music since he picked up the saxophone in fifth grade. He quickly became fascinated with jazz improvisation and attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston to pursue this passion. Berklee's diverse environment gave him opportunities to engage heavily with other musical areas such as rock, fusion, Turkish, Medieval, and experimental musics as well as new instruments such as the clarinet and recorder. Ultimately these interests led him to earn a masters degree in musicology from New England Conservatory.

Paul likes to approach teaching with an open mind, and seeks to follow the interests of his students while focusing heavily on fundamental techniques such as scales, tone development, and music theory. Paul has been teaching in the Boston area for five years from elementary to college students to working professionals and believes that everybody can benefit greatly from learning music if they have the inspiration to do so.
