About:
Miss Holtshouser is an avid trumpet performer and instructor. She is an alumnus of The Hartt School of Music in Hartford CT where she received her Masters of Music in trumpet performance. She has won concerto competitions such as the Paranov concerto competition, being the first trumpet player to win in the history of the Hartt School. She has also recorded for NAXOs for both the Hartt Wind Ensemble and contemporary Foot in the Door ensemble. Lauren is well-versed in a wide range of music from concert band, orchestra, marching band, jazz band, pit orchestra, and British style brass band. Lauren has taught aspiring students in the Hartford and Chapel Hill area and is passionate about helping them improve their technical and musical skills.
