About:
An active freelance drummer and percussionist in Boston and New York, Jeff Sagurton can be found playing percussion and drum set with orchestras and bands at Carnegie Hall, Boston Symphony Hall, Jordan Hall, Wally’s Jazz Café, and many other venues. Jeff earned his bachelor’s degree in Percussion Performance from Boston University and is completing his master’s degree at New England Conservatory of Music, where he has been fortunate to study with members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra as well as many leading drummers on the music scene. Having had numerous inspiring mentors throughout his education, for Jeff, the most gratifying part of being a professional musician is being a teacher. Jeff believes there is no one-size-fits-all method for teaching—instead, he tailors his lessons to each student’s specific goals, interests, and learning styles to create a positive and engaging learning environment with tangible results.
