Centre Music House is a local family-owned community music school and store founded in 1973. Located conveniently at the Route 9 – Edgell Road intersection in Framingham, we serve the town of Framingham and the surrounding Metrowest area including Ashland, Natick, Holliston, Sudbury, Shrewsbury, Hopkinton, Marlboro, Wayland, Sherborn, and Southboro.
2023 marks our 50th year of serving the community by supporting music and the arts. We believe music has the power to bring joy and positive change into the lives of the people who create, share, and listen to it. Understanding and playing music are important life skills and a gifts that should be nurtured and shared like any other talent.

We provide our customers, students and families, and the community with an interactive and creative learning environment that is comfortable, fun, and professional.

Through private lessons our professional and dedicated teachers help students of all ages explore the world of music on the instrument of their choice. Centre Music House is more than just a music studio. We supply our students and musicians from the community with sheet music, accessories, rentals and repairs. When you come to Centre Music House you’re meeting with industry experts and professionals who can provide you with the knowledge and expertise you need all in a comfortable locally owned shop setting.

In an age of big box retail and faceless online transactions we maintain the tradition of providing our customers with genuine, face-to-face interactions and the kind of personal customer service you can only experience in a locally owned community business.

A Trip Down Memory Lane...

When you've been around as long as we have you see a lot of things come and go - odd musical trends, bad hairstyles, you name it.

Every once in a while we come across some photos from 'back-in-the-day' and go 'Wow! Things sure have changed!" But in our almost 50 years of business one thing has remained the same - our love of music and helping other people through music.

Here are a few of those pictures that have been kicking around that offer  a window into the past. We hope you enjoy them and if you have any pictures of your own of Centre Music House (or even Eli Rabkin's Drum Studio) or if you'd like to share some fond memories please email
